We deal with payment when you come for your first class!We offer a range of classes to suit everyone, from introduction classes where you'll take your first dancing steps, to regular classes and special workshops to fine-tune your skills and hone your style. Our class schedule and pricing was designed to give you the most flexibility and fit into busy lives.

Never danced salsa before? Have no fear! We have prepared a special package designed to get you out dancing as soon as possible. Our secret weapon is to provide personalized instruction to every individual, and to give you the opportunity to practice as often as possible!
Our Intro to Salsa course teaches you the basics of salsa dancing and will get you dance floor-ready in just 14 weeks! We break the class down into two 7-week sessions for your convenience, but the best value comes from the full package.

Intro to salsa B (7 weeks) - $80
Complete Intro to salsa package (14 weeks) - $150!
Once you sign up for our Intro to Salsa class, you will have your choice of two time slots per week. You can choose one of those slots, go to whichever suits your schedule best that week, or even come to both classes each week! The material covered will be the same in both classes.
We offer Intro to Salsa classes in our downtown studio at 111A Rideau Street, as well as through the recreation programs at Dovercourt Recreation Centre and Old Ottawa South Community Centre – for more information on the classes taught at these community centres, please check out their web sites!

Regular Classes & Workshops
All our regular classes and regular workshops are run and priced on a drop-in basis, using class cards. This means you only pay for the classes you attend, and you’re never locked into one specific time slot.

All class cards are transferable, and are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
Our current regular classes are Salsa: Intermediate 1 and Salsa: Intermediate 2.
In addition to regular classes, class cards can also be used for regular workshops (one-hour workshops on popular topics like spinning, styling, and some common
turn patterns) as well as trial classes for special workshops.
Winter 2013 Season Pass (January to April):
For $280, you can come to as many classes as you would like at your skill level!
(Non-transferable. Does not include specialty workshops.)
To purchase class cards or our Season Pass, please drop in to any of our classes at 111A Rideau Street and talk to any of our teachers. Cash or cheques are ideal, but we also accept Visa or MasterCard.
Special Workshops
Special workshops challenge you to go outside of your comfort zone and to think differently. They could explore a different aspect of salsa, teach a different dance, or introduce an out-of-town guest teacher! Unlike our regular classes, when you register for a special workshop, you are committing to a specific time slot for the duration of the workshop.
Pricing for each workshop is determined by the length of the course and its difficulty. Please see the list of current workshops below for more details.
Before the start of each special workshop, we will hold two “trial” classes, which are payable with our regular class cards. This gives you a chance to get a taste of what you will learn in the course before making a longer commitment.

Ladies’ Styling by Emilie Phaneuf
Course dates: April 9 to June 25 (12 sessions), 6:00-7:00pm
Price: $150 (tax included)
Develop technique to increase self-expression, musicality, elegance and finesse. The focus will be on shines, body movement, spins, body isolations and hand styling. Learn how to add flavour to your dancing to shine on the dance floor!
Dancehall Funk by Emilie Phaneuf
Course dates: April 9 to June 25 (12 sessions), 7:00–8:00pm
Price: $150 (tax included)
NEW! Dancehall is all about confidence, creativity, expression, attitude, and FUN. It includes elements of Reggae, African, Hip Hop, House and Latin. Dancehall ca be seen in videos by artists such as Rihanna and Sean Paul. Come learn a combination of hot moves and an energetic routine full of street smart choreography, dancing to the hottest music. Get ready for an energetic and challenging class!
Reggaeton by Emilie Phaneuf
Course dates: Tuesdays, April 9 to June 25 (12 sessions), 8:00–9:00pm
OR Saturdays, April 13 to June 29 (12 sessions), 5:00-6:00pm
Price: $150 (tax included)
Reggaeton is a fusion of Hip Hop/Reggae movements with Latino rhythms. It is a free style that is sensual, energetic & fun. This class will emphasize body isolations focusing on core strength & movement, and will teach you a combination of hot moves and an energetic routine that will give you a great workout – and make you more confident on the dance floor. With its popularity rapidly on the rise world-wide, you won't want to miss out on this captivating craze!
Beginner Burlesque by Emilie Phaneuf
Course dates: Saturdays, April 13 to June 29 (12 sessions), 3:00-4:00pm
Price: $150 (tax included)
Ever watched a burlesque show (or the movie Burlesque) and thought “Wow! That looks like fun, I want to do that!” Well, now you CAN! This class will tap into your sexy, glamorous, bombshell YOU! Burlesque embraces all body types; it doesn't matter what size you are – or what your age is; it's about taking a bold step and trying something new! Learn Burlesque performance techniques; shimmy and shake your way into fun dance routines! Wear something comfortable that makes you feel sassy and inspired. Heels are fun, but not mandatory.
Intermediate Burlesque by Emilie Phaneuf

Learn more intricate sexy Burlesque moves to take your dancing to the next level! We'll build on beginner techniques and learn a fun routine that challenges you and brings your self- expression to new heights. Heels are encouraged.
