GROUP CLASSES

SEPTEMBER 2020 CLASSES

Session dates: September 8 – October 1

Location: Rink of Dreams outside City Hall (110 Laurier Avenue West)

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are holding our September solo and partnering classes outdoors, limiting student numbers, observing physical distancing guidelines, and avoiding partner switching.

All solo classes will observe physical distancing guidelines.
All partnering classes will be bring-your-own-partner only.

PARTNERING CLASSES

Have a willing dance partner in your social bubble? Sign up for a dance class together!

Dance partner =/= life partner
Did you assume you had to be a couple to dance together? Think again! Partner dancing is a wonderful thing to share with a parent, sibling, friend or roommate. Age, gender and relationship are irrelevant, as long as one of you is willing to lead and the other is willing to follow.

Tuesdays, September 8 – 29 (4 weeks)
BEGINNERSVETERANS
6-7 PMBeginner Salsa On 2 PartneringIntermediate-Advanced Bachata Partnering

Location: Rink of Dreams outside City Hall (110 Laurier Avenue West)

Beginners
Our beginner classes are for those who are brand new to dancing, or who might know basic steps but not much more. Convinced you have two left feet? We’ve got you. Took a couple of bachata classes a year ago? Come for a refresher. Not sure what the “On 2” in “Salsa On 2” means? This is the class for you.

Veterans
Our Intermediate-Advanced classes are suitable for our Level 2 and Level 3 students. Be ready for a challenge, but don’t worry – we’ll offer more and less intense options depending on your level of experience!

Price
$160 +tax per couple for each 4-week course

Discounts available when you sign up for multiple courses. See our registration page for details.

COVID-19 things:

  • All partnering classes are bring-your-own-partner only; there will be no partner switching or rotation.
  • Masks are optional, depending on your level of comfort with your dance partner. Please discuss this before class.
  • Please maintain a minimum 2m distance from other couples at all times.
  • Instructors will also keep their distance; there will be no hands-on corrections and we won’t be dancing with students unless they are in our social bubble.
  • We need a minimum of 3 couples to run each class, and all classes will be capped at 6 couples. If you sign up for a class that does not reach its minimum enrollment limit, you will receive an email with options (including a refund option) on September 3rd.

SOLO CLASSES

No one to dance with? No problem! Sign up for a solo class and learn to dance on your own!

Can you dance Bachata and Salsa without a partner?
Of course you can! In solo classes we work on footwork, body movement, arm styling, musicality and more, so you can tear up the dance floor anytime Salsa or Bachata music comes on, whether you’re at a party or need a body break while working from home!
